Shiv's POV

The engine roared as I sped up. The only thing that I was feeling right now was "Anger." Blood was rushing in my veins. I hold the steering wheel tightly as I turned to left.

My mind was racing with thoughts.

How? How can someone know about the plan? This was something that only I knew and this was only discussed with Mr. Trivedi.

My feet pushed the brake just as I reached the mansion. If he had done this, he will have to pay for it. No matter what.

I unbuckled the seatbelt and opened the door. I loosened my tie as I was feeling frustrated and angry. I stormed inside pushing the main door.

A house helper greeted me softly. But I was too angry to reply. "Where is Veer?" I asked trying not to show my rage. "Sir, Veer sir went to the office today and he hadn't come back." I ran both my hands through my hair in frustration.

I signalled her to go.

'where did he go after doing such thing? '

I sat on couch while taking the water jar in my hand and pouring water in the glass. I drank it in one go.

Relax Shiv! I tried to relax myself as I knew my anger makes me take decisions I regret. I closed my eyes while putting the glass down on the table. I inhaled a deep breath and opened my eyes.

I took the phone out of my pocket and scrolled through the contacts. I tapped on the screen as I found Veer's name. After 5 rings, he picked up the call

"Hello!"

"Where are you?" I asked, anger flashing in my voice.

"Umm... Bhai! Looks like you can't live without your little brother ?"

My jaw clenched in frustration as I wasn't in the mood of all this shit.

"Just Answer the Question!" I snapped at him.

"In a meeting with a client" He replied shortly

What is the need of faking it all as he care about the company and works hard.

"Meet me in my office after the meeting!" I ordered and cut the call without waiting for his reply.

I shouldn't have left the office. fuck my anger! I muttered to myself while banging on the table.

I stood up and walked outside towards my car. I drove to the office again. I was eager to know why did he do it? I went to my cabin as I reached there. After a few minutes of waiting, The door clicked open and Veer stepped in.

All the anger that I was trying to cool down, refreshed.

I looked into his eyes straight while still sitting on my chair.

He took a few steps forward looking back into my eyes.

I wondered How do even he have the courage to look into my eyes after doing all this?

I kept looking at him silently expecting him to answer my silent questions. But instead he said,

"What is the reason you called me here?" His voice was like he don't know anything.

Acting all innocent. How?

"No need to act fool!" I growled.

He looked at me with his eyebrows furrowed in confusion.

"Why did you leak my new plan?" I asked straight as he didn't answer on his own.

His eyes narrowed more. "What plan?" He murmured.

I raised my eyebrow. "Well You do know very well. The plan which was going to make our company touch the height of success... That Plan!" I said, making more emphasis on my last words, while he just shaked his head in confusion like he is still unaware.

I couldn't hold this anymore. I stood up and rushed forwards towards him, standing just a foot away.

"You don't know, hn? Oh what a poor thing!" I growled sarcastically.

"I don't know what you are talking about... And you have no rights to blame me for what I don't even know about." He replied.

I could see anger replacing his confusion.

My eyes narrowed as I realised that I am just blaming him, It isn't proven yet.

I exhaled sharply and my hand reached my forehead tapping it softly in frustration.

"Sorry... Anger took control over me " I muttered while turning my back towards him.

"But what exactly the matter is?" He asked me.

I sat on the chair again.

"I already told you. The plan which was important for the company. It got copied by Corna Company and we don't know who did this." My voice firm as the environment turned professional, he sat on one of the chair in front of the table and I continued.

"We were going to launch a new product."

"When did you get to know that it is copied?" Veer asked.

"Two hours ago," I said while rolling a pen in my hand.

I leaned back on the chair, resting my neck on it and closed my eyes to think properly. What am I missing? I slowly opened my eyes and stopped rolling the pen as I saw a "camera" exactly in front of my eyes on the wall I was facing.

"Exactly!" I whispered.

"What?" Veer asked me as he followed my gaze.

"Check the CCTV footages," I said looking at Veer.

He nodded and walked outside.

"Jo koi bhi k ye, ab bachega nhi." I tapped the pen on table. But I was still impatient somehow. I knew if someone managed the secret information, He won't be dumb to show himself in the cameras. Either he had done something to footages or -

Veer cutted my thoughts. "Today's footage."

He put the laptop in front of me and stood on my side.

"Play it."

"It's the gallery to your cabin as the file must be in your cabin, right?" Veer looked at me while asking.

I nodded and looked at the screen. It was blank for a few minutes. As no one will come to the cabin because I wasn't there at that moment. Obviously and if someone have come, he will be the guilty.

Suddenly, A shadow appeared on the screen, I observed it closely. A man in black T-shirt and lower appeared, his face was covered with a mask, not just his mouth but all of his face along with his head, leaving his eyes visible.

I knew he is the one, but why didn't he deleted the footage or blocked camera. Maybe he wasn't able to do this. But it won't be smart to assume this, because he could. I can't think of him as dumb.

He took two steps forward. He stopped and turned his face towards the camera directly.

I knew it he isn't fool. He looked straight at the camera which means he knew where exactly the camera is.

He blew a kiss towards the camera mockingly. I chuckled darkly before leaning back. He thinks of himself too high I think.

Good! I don't like weak rivals too.

He continued to walk towards my cabin. He again looked at the camera in my cabin as he entered. His actions shows that he perfectly knew where what is.

The cameras,  my cabin, he moved straight towards the shelf in which the file was.

There were two shelves on either side of that shelf but he chose to go to that shelf.

Meaning clear.

He knew all of it. He has planned perfectly and succeeded unfortunately.

And then the screen glitched and turned off. My eyes narrowed in confusion.

Veer moved his fingers on laptop. The issue was that he has deleted the footage.

"But why didn't he delete all of it?" I said.

Veer looked at me. "Maybe he wanted to mock us"

"Mujhe nhi lgta maybe ki koi jrurat h. He definitely wanted to mock." I said.

My phone rang just as I stood up. I took it out of my pocket.

"Maa?"

"It's already 9:00 pm, we should head back to home." Veer said. I nodded while picking the call.

"Yes, maa?" I asked softly.

I held the phone slightly away from my ear in instinct as I heard her snapping at me loudly.

She was definitely furious.

"Why didn't you come, huh? Shadi hone wali h fir bhi akl nhi h tujhe. Kaam! Kaam! Kaam! Sara din kaam hi krte rehna. Shaadi bhi apni office se hi kr le. M apni Devi ki shadi khi aur kra lungi. Just. Tell. Me. why didn't you COME?"

Too much anger Maa. How will I make it now. I cleared my throat, deciding what to say next.

"Where...where Maa?"

Oh wow! what a question have you asked shiv.

I should clap for myself. I closed my eyes as I realised It was the most stupid thing I could do this night now.

"Where? Are you asking where shiv?.. Seriously? We were waiting for you the whole day. Aarav did tell you na we went for wedding shoping?" Maa Snapped at me

Oh shit! Shopping. How did I forget about it?

"Beta, Devi was waiting for you. You are getting married to her Shiv and that too because you asked for it. You love her, she is your responsibility. You shouldn't have made her sad " Maa finished her voice softened.

"She was sad?" I asked her, my voice came out a bit tensed.

fuck me to make her sad. How can you do this Shiv I took my overcoat and walked outside leaving veer alone.

"Yes, she didn't say but I could see it". She replied I walked through the gallery listening to her...

"You know her beta she don't say much about her feelings. She is too innocent." I opened my car's door and slide in "I will be late, Maa" I said.

"Wait, what?" I hung the call in hurry,

"Sorry Maa."

I twisted the key and the engine started. I turned the steering wheel and drove towards her home.

Devi's Pov

I laid on the bed as I was feeling exhausted.

Shopping all day and then doing house chores, it was really tiring day.

Although shopping was fun, I met my Bua saas, her children, Maasi and her children as well.

They all were too good. Not as I expected. Bua was really cute and kind unlike my thoughts. I thought she will be like these cruel buas who always taunt, shout at you if you do even a little mistake. I thought she would be like my Bua But no

I smiled to myself.

And Maasi, she was too modern like how the hell she can be so open minded? I mean she can. But its really rare in woman of her age or maybe only I am surrounded by narrow minded people.

Thankyou Bhagwan ji, I am grateful to have such a beautiful family from now on. I hope everything will be fine in my life now

Finally I will get free of Bua and her taunts. Please God ab aur problem nhi dena ha? please.

I turned to my side. The curtains were shaking in air, I stood as I realised maybe its about to rain. I walked near the balcony looking at sky.

Night was dark. Moon was hidden behind black dark clouds. A fresh cold breeze touched my body as I opened the door.

I closed my eyes as I felt the smell of upcoming rain. I opened my eyes slowly.

Oh shit! I forgot about my clothes. I stepped in the balcony to take the clothes that were hanging.

I jumped on my place as I heard a loud thud maybe footstep of someone behind me. I quickly turned to see someone standing just infront of me.

Before I could even see his face, I was about to scream in fear. But I felt a palm on my mouth, my eyes looked up at his face.

"Shhh It's me" My eyes widen in shock.

Shiv? What is he doing here that too at midnight? In my balcony?

"Shocked?" He leaned in closer while removing his palm from my mouth.

"Aap yaha kya kr rhe h?" I stepped back a little.

He was too close to me right now.

"Kuchh nhi." He stepped forward looking into my eyes.

I stepped back but the balcony felt even more smaller.

I clutched the clothes that were in my hands.

"Then... Then why did you come here at this time?" My voice trembling, as my gaze, flickered between his chest and his eyes.

"Kuchh Kaam tha." He stepped more closer.

I felt his gaze on my lips as I bit my lower lip in nervousness.

"K-kya kaam tha?" I took a last step backward as my back hit the wall behind me.

"Aap krengi mera ek kaam?" He stepped more and more closer.

I saw him putting his hands on my either side on the wall, while looking in my eyes.

I blinked nervously. Aisa kya kaam aagya inhe, jo itni raat ko balcony me aaye, vo bhi chori chupke.

I nodded hesitantly. "K-kya?"

My breath hitched as he leaned in closer, I stared at his face as his eyes closed slowly. My  heart beats fastened as he was coming closer.

I turned my face to the other direction. I felt his lips near my neck brushing against my skin. I let out a shaky breath as I felt his lips pressing against neck just below jaw. My eyes closed instinctively.

" Maaf kr dijiye mujhe please!" He whispered against my neck.

My eyes narrowed. But he didn't do anything. why he is asking me to forgive him?

I opened my eyes.

My body tensed as I saw a shadow behind the curtains of the balcony infront of our home. Kaveri Aunty.

Oh shit she always comes on her balcony at night. I saw her moving the curtains aside. Before she could see us I  pushed him down. He fell on the floor and looked at me in confusion.

"Please chup rhiye! Please!" I whispered to him while putting finger on his lips.

I stood and smiled awkwardly as aunty waved at me. She could only see the half of me,  Neither me below my torso nor shiv on the floor.

"Are beta tum itni raat ko?... oh achha mausam hi itna suhana h aaj to aane ka mann to kr hi jata h" She said loudly.

"Ji Ji..., vo aunty m kpde utarna bhul gyi thi aaj na, isiliye utarne aayi thi. Aap to-aahh..!" I jumped at my place as I felt him tickling my feet.

I looked down, he was lying on the floor placing his elbow on floor and hand below his head.

He wiggle his eyebrows at me while smiling.

He again moved his hand towards my feet. I parted my lips to say something but..

"What happened, beta?" Aunty's voice startled me as I realised she was here and I couldn't say anything to him.

"Ji? k-kuch kuch nhi aunty ji..... Vo... Vo mchhar... mchhar bohat ho gye h na"  I made an excuse while shaking my head hesistantly.

"Ha beta, Mchhar to bohat ho gye h?" She replied while scratching her arm.

"Ok aunty, bohot raat ho gayi h, aap bhi so jaaiye, Goodnight."

"Ha beta Good night" she closed her balcony door and I sighed before looking down at him.

I sat beside him.

" Sorry ji, Vo aunty aagyi thi vo aapko dekh leti to..." I  explained but he cut me off.

"To?" He straightened to sit, asking me while looking at me.

"To problem ho jati na." I stood along with him.

"Kya problem hoti gulabo?" He chuckled before saying.

Blush formed on my cheeks hearing it again from him. "Gulabo"

Before I could say anything else, he picked up a rose bouquet from the ground and looked at me.

"Aapne bataya nhi aap yaha kyu aaye?" He held my wrist softly and dragged me inside the room.

He left my wrist and forwarded the bouquet to me.

I looked at the bouquet and then at him slightly in confusion.

"I am sorry jaan" his voice was gentle and soothing.

"Kisliye?" I took the bouquet while asking.

It was big and beautiful. Cherry Red and white roses wrapped with black paper. A chocolate was tied along with the roses, secured with a black net ribbon.

He placed his hand on my cheek which made me look up at him again. I felt his soft touch as he pushed the hair strands away with his other hand.

I was frozen at my place.

"I couldn't come today evening. I am sorry baby, I was busy. You know, the office load.. It just slipped my mind that Maa has called me for shopping...I am sorry baby.. I didn't want to make you sad.. I am sorry, so sorry. I promise I won't do it ever again. God promise!" He explained, actually yapped cutely.

His hands were cupping my face tightly while he was constantly explaining and begging to me to just forgive him.

His eyes were soft, and his eyebrows were furrowed cutely. I was seeing a new Shiv in front of me. I have never seen him like this, although I have only met him only 3 times.

But it was unlike his Strong, rough and tough exterior.

He was looking like a kid right now. And the fun fact is I wasn't ev

en mad at him. He muttered a please, almost begging. And I couldn't hold it,  I burst into laughing. His expression turned  confused making him even more cuter.

I chuckled hard while putting my palm on my mouth. I don't know why but I found him cute and funny, begging me like this.

But my laugh vanished as....
